DANCE EDUCATOR
Camila Cardona is a New York City–based dance educator, choreographer, and performer with over 10 years of professional experience across film, television, and international stages. A Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center, guest teacher where she teaches Theater Fusion and Hip-Hop. She also serves on the faculty at New York Film Academy, teaching Hip-Hop, and offers commercial theater and heels training through her NYC pop-up classes. Her teaching spans youth and professional training, with a focus on musicality, performance, versatility, and creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment. She has also taught bilingual dance education through previous faculty roles at Iconos Kids NYC and The Co-Op School in Brooklyn.
Camila’s classes integrate theatre fusion, hip-hop, and heels foundations, drawing directly from her work as an choreographer and performer. The Class will start with a warm up with some dynamic exercises, grooves and foundation in hip-hop and street styles while helping dancers develop texture, intention, and storytelling through choreography at the end. The class is grounded in strong technique, musicality, and performance quality, her approach centers on character and interpretation, building artistic confidence while bridging stage, screen, and commercial performance for dancers at all levels. In an empowering, fun, and supportive environment, Camila encourages each dancer to step into their confidence, individuality, and artistic expression, leaving class not only stronger, but more connected to their unique voice in a dance community space.
